Our Rental Rates

Hybrid Bike

Perfect for the trail, our hybrid bikes are the most popular rental selection for a fit and fun ride! The majority of our fleet includes Fuji Crosstown and Absolute models.

Cruiser

Offering a more relaxed fit, our cruiser bikes are best for enjoying a scenic ride down the trail. These bikes have bigger seats, different handlebar styles, and less gears than hybrid bikes.

Mountain Bike

Looking to go off-trail or conquer soggy trail conditions? A mountain bike would be the perfect selection. Equipped with wider, knobbier tires, these bikes can conquer any terrain.

Gravel Bike

One of our more limited rental selections is the gravel style bike. These bikes have drop handlebars and are the best fit for those ready to head out on a long, hard trail ride! Please call ahead to check gravel bike rental availability.

Road Bike

Another more limited rental selection in our fleet is the road bike. These bikes are not best to ride on the Montour Trail due to their skinnier, smoother tires. Please call ahead to check road bike rental availability.

Kids Bike

From small tricycles to 24" bikes, we have options for kids every age. Most bikes in our selection have gears and hand brakes, but some smaller sizes have coaster brakes. Please call in advance if training wheels are needed.

Tandem

Our signature rental bike seats 2 riders for an extraordinary trail experience. The tandems we currently rent out are cruiser and hybrid styles. Please call to check availability due to size differences per each tandem in our rental fleet.

Fat Tire

For a tough adventure through the snow and ice or muddy trail, fat tire bikes are a great option. These unique rides are equipped with 26 x 4" tires and rear fenders to provide the best experience through all adverse conditions!

Quickly gaining popularity amongst trail users, electric bikes are becoming one of the best ways to joyride on the Montour. We have step over and step thru versions available to rent, so call us today to set up a time to ride!

Rental Information and Procedures

Since opening in 2012, rentals have been a main focus of our business. We started out with hybrid and cruiser styles, as well as tandems, and have expanded our offerings in recent years. If you are just looking to get a ride in on the trail with no special features, a hybrid bike is the perfect option for you. We have a few different models of this bike type, so depending on availability, you may have the option between a comfort or fitness based style. If you are looking to rent something more specialized like a road bike, gravel bike, fat tire bike, electric bike, trailer, or tandem, we recommend calling in advance to check availability.

Helmets: We provide helmets for all rentals, but if you have your own, you are welcome to use it. You do have the option to ride without a helmet, but it is strongly recommended that you use protection for your own safety.

Bottle Cages: Most bikes in our fleet have bottle cages that fit standard size 16.9 oz bottles. They can compress and expand to hold different sizes, but please keep in mind that larger insulated styles like Hydroflasks will most likely not fit in the cage.

Add-ons: Additional accessories like baskets and phone holders are available for an extra cost of $3 added to the rental charge.

Where to Ride: We typically advise parking in our lot and starting your rental ride on our section of the Montour Trail, but if you are interested in taking bikes to a different location, you are more than welcome to do so. Please let an employee know if you have the intention to transport bikes so they can make sure you have a proper way to do so.

Long-term Rentals: Overnight and extended period rentals are permitted. Please contact us to plan your rental in advance.

Group Rentals: For large group rentals, we can offer a discounted rate by scheduling a reservation. Please contact us in advance if you are interested in organizing a group reservation.
